On Wednesday the 15th of May, Buckswood girls had a coaching session with Harlequins player, Ellie Miles.

Ellie is a women’s rugby union player from Royal Tunbridge Wells, playing for Harlequins Ladies in the Premier 15s as a scrum half or wing.

The girl’s rugby team have been excited for her to come to Buckswood, with some girls looking to go further in the future.

Ellie started Rugby locally to Buckswood at Tunbridge Wells RFC and also coached rugby at her own school, Tunbridge Wells Girls’ Grammar School before joining Harlequins.

“Ellie put the girls through their paces with a number of skill-based games for a couple of hours, before being presented with a Buckswood rugby top.” Said Mr Claughton, Head of Rugby at Buckswood.

“The girls hope to enter a touch tournament at Tunbridge Wells rugby club later in June, and the school would like to thank Ellie for her excellent coaching session.” Added Mr Claughton.

The session was a great experience for the girls and certainly helped them visualise their goals by learning about Ellies path into Rugby.
