BUCKSWOOD EDUCATION
ADVENTURE & TRAVEL

We want our students to have zeal for life, have passion and not be afraid to try something new. Through the BEAT programme we want to challenge our students to challenge themselves, we instil a ‘can-do’ spirit of adventure in each scholar and encourage them to try something new, understanding that failure is not to be feared, knowing that new experiences make richer people.

For us to achieve this we run three very full programs.

The weekday after school activities program run by the ‘Not so boring office’ offer a very comprehensive set of activities that extend the curriculum outside the classroom.

The weekend activity program

Called REST (Saturday: School, coursework, outings, recuperation, Entertainment) and SCORE (Sunday: Rest, Enrichment, Sports, Timeout) provides the students with a fun packed weekend with trips out to London and areas of local interest and interhouse competitions that include interhouse sport, dance offs and fashion shows to name a few – there is no excuse to be bored!

Half Term travel: We run a very comprehensive travel program as we also believe that travel is the fourth dimension of education and places education in context, as we believe that it broadens minds and horizons, breaks down barriers, destroys misconception, enhances knowledge and promotes cultural understanding.
