At Buckswood, our expansive 30-acre campus is the ideal setting for our Riding Centre. This facility is not just a place for equestrian training but a comprehensive hub for equine education.

Riding Centre Features:

Stables and Tack Room: Our centre includes fully maintained stables and tack room, providing safe and secure housing for our horses and equipment.

Hayloft and Sand School: The hayloft ensures a steady supply of quality feed, while our impressive sand school offers a superb environment for both training and competitive riding.

Horses for All Levels: We house a variety of horses that cater to a range of riding skills, from novice to experienced riders, ensuring every student has the opportunity to learn and grow in their riding capabilities.

Equine Studies Classes:

Our Riding Academy goes beyond practical riding skills by offering Equine Studies classes. These classes cover various aspects of horse care and management, including anatomy, nutrition, and equine behaviour.

Students have the opportunity to earn certifications at various levels through the British Horse Society, enhancing their qualifications and deepening their understanding of equine care.

Responsibility and Care:

Integral to our programme is the ethos of responsibility. Students actively participate in the daily welfare of the horses they ride, which includes feeding, cleaning, and grooming.

This hands-on approach not only teaches students the practical skills needed for horse care but also instils a sense of responsibility and respect for the animals.

Loaning a Buckswood horse each weekend during term time!

This Scheme is for those who do not own a horse and who would like to have the opportunity to develop their riding and stable management skills by having exclusive access to a Buckswood horse or pony that is kept as if it was their own, under the supervision of the stables staff.
