Horse Riding at Buckswood
Whether you live, breathe and dream about horses or just fancy giving riding a go, the on-site Buckswood stables have everything you need. From the absolute beginner to the international champion, the Buckswood stables team have the expertise and facilities for a wide range of equestrian disciplines as one-off lessons, regular lessons, Saturday school for the local community and the Buckswood Riding Academy.
Animals are an important part of the Buckswood campus. Being a home and school for our boarders, animals provide some home-from-home comfort. The stables are home to 8 horses, a dog and lambs in the spring, who are all looked after by a friendly team of qualified stables staff. There is plenty of space for you to bring your own horse too with full and working livery available. As part of our riding programme our students are encouraged to get involved with all aspects of our horses welfare including feeding, cleaning and grooming.
The beautiful Buckswood campus, farm and woodland centre provides ample opportunity for show jumping, hacking, cross country jumping, eventing , dressage and tetratholon and our flood-lit sand school allows for year-round enjoyment and our students have the opportunity to take part in trips to events such as Royal Ascot, Olympia, Badminton or hook-up a horse box for an early morning beach ride at our local beach.
