One important update to these regulations is in relation to guardians and is based around the safeguarding of children and young adults when in the care of a guardian in the UK. The particular standard (22.3) requires that the school takes ‘appropriate steps to ensure that the guardianship arrangement is promoting the welfare, physical wellbeing and emotional wellbeing of the boarder.
