Local Fundraisers

At Buckswood, we understand the importance of supporting those in our local community that need our assistance. Throughout the year, we host a range of events designed to raise awareness and money for local causes.

Every autumn, for example, we celebrate the harvest from our own apple orchard with a special event—our Macmillan Bake Sale. This tradition sees students and parents team up to transform fresh, orchard-picked apples into a delicious array of snacks and desserts. From classic apple pies to inventive pastries, the creativity on display is matched only by the community spirit.

All proceeds from the bake sale are donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, a national charity dedicated to helping those affected by cancer. This event not only provides our students with a hands-on learning experience but also reinforces our commitment to charitable giving and community involvement.
