International Day

At Buckswood, our annual International Day is a vibrant celebration of the diverse cultures represented by our student body. Held in our transformed Sports Hall, the event features traditional costumes, delicious foods, and captivating music from around the world, showcasing our commitment to cultural awareness and harmony.

This colourful fiesta includes culinary tastings, music and dance performances, and cultural exhibitions where students share stories and artefacts from their homelands. It’s a practical demonstration of our ethos that differences should be celebrated, not feared, providing students with a deeper understanding of global cultures and promoting empathy and a global mindset.

Through this celebration, Buckswood students gain an appreciation for the world’s diversity, learning the value of inclusivity and preparing to be respectful global citizens. We are preparing for life.
