GCSE Trip to London BC
Form 4 and Form 5 Mandarin scholars attend the British Council Mandarin speaking competition at the British Museum in London. They have to present a short play that they have prepared in Mandarin in front of scholars from around the country. The winning students will spend a week in Beijing in April, visiting historical sites, interacting with Chinese students and experiencing Chinese culture.
Entering your students in the competition increases their motivation for learning, develops vocabulary and improves pronunciation. It also raises confidence for speaking examinations.
The competition encourages students to interact with their classmates and meet learners at other schools as they discover more about Chinese culture.
