Earth Day

At Buckswood, we are dedicated to educating our students about the importance of environmental stewardship and sustainability. Our Earth Day initiative is a key part of this commitment. Each year, we recognise Earth Day by holding special assemblies for students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. These assemblies focus on topics related to environmental awareness and the significance of taking action to protect our planet.

During these assemblies, students learn about the challenges facing our environment, from climate change to pollution and the loss of biodiversity. We explore the impact of these issues on ecosystems and human communities worldwide and discuss practical steps that individuals and groups can take to make a difference. Our aim is to inspire our students to become conscientious global citizens who understand their role in fostering a sustainable future.
