Chinese New Year

At Buckswood, our Chinese New Year outreach programme plays a significant part in our cultural activities calendar. Around the time of Chinese New Year, our Chinese students visit local schools to share their rich cultural heritage through workshops. These sessions include traditional storytelling, crafts, and demonstrations of Chinese customs (including the Dragon dance), allowing younger students in the community to engage directly with and learn about the vibrant traditions and celebrations of Chinese New Year. This initiative not only enriches the cultural understanding of the local students but also fosters a sense of pride and connection among our Chinese students as they share their culture with others.
