Carol Service at Buckswood

Each December, as the Christmas term draws to a close, the Buckswood extended family gathers for a cherished tradition: our annual Carol Concert. Held in the historic Old Town area of Hastings, this event is a highlight of the school calendar, beloved by families and Old Buckswoodians alike.

A Festive Gathering

Our traditional service of Nine Lessons and Carols embodies the spirit of the season, bringing together the community in a celebration of festive cheer and musical excellence. The beautiful setting of Old Town, with its quaint streets and festive decorations, provides a perfect backdrop for an evening of song and reflection.

The Carol Concert is quintessentially British, featuring classic carols that resonate through the crisp winter air. It’s an opportunity for students, staff, and alumni to connect and share in the joy of the season. This event, along with our Speech and Sports Day, is one of the two major annual gatherings that reinforce our school spirit and community bonds.
