Buckswood Travels to Hong Kong for Half Term

February 25, 2019 11:18 am

A group of 6 Buckswoodians embarked on an Asian adventure as they visited Hong Kong this half term…

The trip began as soon as the tyres hit the tarmac; it was straight off to embrace the sights and sounds of Mong Kok. There was even time to get hold of a bargain or two as the group bartered their way through the famous Ladies Market. We had the unique opportunity to see giant pandas at Ocean Park and enjoy a rollercoaster or two before seeing the amazing symphony of lights; the  group watched in awe as the fabulous skyline came alive.

It was then time to take the cable car up to the Giant Buddha as well as travel in style up to the top of the ICC (Asia’s tallest building) which offered fantastic views of the city. We even had another opportunity for fabulous views of the city at the top of The Peak after our nigh on vertical tram ride. We were lucky enough to meet up with a Buckswood Old Boy (Anthony) and his family who showed us around the famous flower markets and helped us to release a bird each.

2019’s Asian Adventure was most certainly a great success. Many memories have been made. A huge thank you to the entire group for making it such a good one.
