Buckswood Dance Acedemy is a new initiative at the school which combines the most talented and gifted dance students of all ages, bringing them together to form a competitive, driven and artistic team trained in ballet, jazz, tap modern and street dance.
Running alongside private and group exam lessons, fitness classes, cheerleading and club lessons and competition work the acedemy forms a basis for all the dance students to join together and work towards auditions, shows and festivals as well as participating in trips to London Musicals, Move It London, dancers and many local dance events.
All lessons take part in the dance studio at the school which has a Harlequin floor- a must for all dancers when practising and all dancers must wear correct uniform at all times for discipline and for clear representation of the school.
Classes are arranged to accommodate all abilities and can be aimed towards achieving exams, participating in competitions and shows or just for fun and fitness benefits.
Miss Stacey Caister Director of Dance is highly qualified in both IDTA and ISTD Dance boards which are both world leading examination societies and exams can be taken dependant on student’s abilities and willingness to progress.

Recent News Achievements:
Gold Medal achieved at Ore Stage Festival for 16 and over duet section.
Silver Medal achieved at Ore Stage Festival for Song and Dance section 12 years.
Hollie Sprenger received Splitz Dance Academy Most Improved Dancer of the Year.
Mila Morgensztern received Buckswood Dancer of The Year at Recent Prize Giving Ceremony.
Audition Dates For The Diary!!!
September 11th (Day pupils and External Children)
September 18th (Buckswood Boarders)
Auditions are being held in September 2011 for the production of “Schools Out We Will Rock You” an all singing, dancing and acting musical for all Buckswood Students and External children aged 5 years and upwards to participate in. As well as leading roles, ensemble parts are to be allocated to those less confident pupils.
