Buckswood’s Club Programme has a wide variety of opportunities. It provides each scholar with the ability to challenge or extend their expertise in areas outside the classroom.

Societies

Societies

“A popular club. Last year’s groups attended finance lectures at LSE and previous to that a Cider tasting afternoon was held on Mr Sutton’s lawn! This year we are focusing on the Young Enterprise organisation – competing with other student institutions on a national scale. The wine from the Buckswood vineyard is ready to be sold – a project that the Business society will take on.”

Weekend Activities

Weekend Activities

Buckswood’s Activity Programme has a wide variety of opportunities. It will provide your children with the ability to challenge or extend their expertise in areas outside the classroom. Recently we have been working hard to ensure that the staff and students alike, approach the Activities Programme as part of the overall curriculum and to recognise the immense educational benefits that are received from participating with commitment and enthusiasm in the programme.

Flying Lessons and Pilots License

FLYING 1

Buckswood has benefited from our partnership with Lydd Aero club (only 25 minutes from school) for a number of years. We have formed a trail lesson to give scholars a flying experience they won’t forget. Three scholars travel to Lydd to spend the afternoon – taking to the skies for 30 each before the next person has a go at the wheel. This gives each pilot 30mins at the controls each before sitting in the plane while the other two students take their turn.
