Buckswood School Pipe Band

Buckswood School Pipe Band has been running for 7 years and has won the Hastings Musical Festival five times, three of them being won consecutively. The band has also participated in the “Best of Festival” concert; as well as played in parades, bonfire processions and are dispatched to welcome the schools most important visitors (including royalty).  The band is active in the local community, raising funds for charities and playing at local primary schools.  There are currently 5 pipers and 5 drummers in the band, all taught from scratch at the school by the bandleader, Pipe Major Robert Reid.
 
The band is keen to expand their community involvement, so if you have a fete, parade, fundraiser or any other event you would like the band to attend, please don’t hesitate to give the school a call.
