About the UK System
From the age of 11 to 16 years, UK students follow 3 years of Junior curriculum, followed by 2 years of Middle School (GCSE). Upon completion of the the GCSE course, students aged 16+ then opt for either the A Level or International Baccalaureate programmes, both of which are 2 years duration and lead to internationally recognised qualifications providing access to leading universities.
The British Education Pyramid shown here
may help to clarify how our system works, whilst the comparison table
will help explain where your child would fit in.
However being experienced in the world of international education we know that there will always be exceptions, so please do not hesitate to ask your questions via our Enquiry Form.
