Sue Cotterill
Posistion:
I have just started my second year at Buckswood. I fell into education by chance when my children started school and I quickly realised that I loved the atmosphere and sense of community I got when I went to school. I have always worked in a ‘people orientated’ business and enjoy the interaction. Before I had my children I worked in the Lettings Industry; working first in London and then managing a busy Lettings Office in Brighton.
I gained the majority of my experience working in a small rural Primary School
where I developed an interest in Special Educational Needs. I was sent on a variety of courses ranging from behaviour management to literacy. I gained an NVQ 3 in teaching and learning and undertook an accredited course with the University of Brighton on dyslexia. I firmly believe that every child has the right to a good education and should be given the opportunity to fulfil their potential whatever their ability.
I live in Battle with my husband, two children and cat! When I am not at work I love to spend time with my family and friends. You will often find me pitch side on a Sunday Morning, whatever the weather, cheering on my son as he plays football.
