I have always been interested in complex systems. Initially this led to a fascination with space and the brain. By the time I went to the Polytechnic of Central London, I was interested in ecosystems, and loved finding out about how nature works.

My interest then shifted to language, amongst the most complex and subtle systems that exist, and I taught English as a Foreign Language in France, Germany and the Czech Republic, before returning to England. I used the skills I had learnt to teach Business courses, and even helped to solve the Millenium bug!

I taught in local secondary schools for a few years, before graduating to Buckswood. I am in the fortunate position of being able to teach both Science and EFL.
