Mr. Hogan attended University College, London, from which he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree , Upper II with honours, in Medieval and Modern History. He completed his teacher training at King Alfred's Church of England College, Winchester , in History and Divinity.His
First teaching position was at Bexhill Grammar School where he was responsible for the Renaissance A Level course. From Bexhill he transferred to the The Thomas Peacocke School in Rye where he rose to Head of Department specialising in European history 1715 - 1917. In 2003 he joined the staff of Claremont School as Head of History and Divinity and tutor for the Common Entrance class before joining the Buckswood team where he holds responsibility for Lower School History as well as teaching one of the three GCSE groups.
