Posistion: Science

Mr. Samson has somewhat of an international background and has been involved with education in one form or another for most of his life. Born in New Zealand, he grew up in Hong Kong, spending term-times at boarding schools in the UK, before completing his BSc in Zoology with Marine Zoology at Bangor University. Following completion of his degree he moved to the United States, where he worked as a camp counsellor, outdoor educator and part-time maintenance man and chef at a camp and conference center in Connecticut.

Following these experiences, he returned to a formal educational setting, working at a small private school in New England. During this time, he completed his MA in teaching as well as earning teacher certification. In 2008, he returned to the UK and joined Buckswood, where he has been ever since, teaching science and assisting Mr. Cassidy in the Junior School. Outside of school, he tries to keep active, taking part in the occasional triathlon as well as trying (but seldom succeeding!) to kite surf!
