I have been Head of the English Department since September 2002. I am an EFL examiner and also an NVQ assessor. I am also responsible for the technical sound systems in the school for both assemblies and productions and I have been playing guitar and double bass semi-professionally for many years.

In the past I have established a number of collaborative online learning projects that reached across the educational sectors throughout the UK and internationally. I also established a working relationship with many new organisations at the cutting edge of educational pedagogy and technology.

These organisations included both FE and HE providers as well as secondary and primary sector through Education Action Zones and regeneration partnerships. I sat on a number of regeneration and partnership committees and project steering committees and development groups. Prior to that I ran the Distance Learning operation for the Chartered Insurance Institute for approximately 70,000 students and 150 tutors world-wide. I also initiated and developed a wide range of audio training materials for Financial Planning which are still used today.
