Eric Foex was born in a small alpine village outside Geneva but after 30 odd years spent in the UK now has boubts about his true nationality. In fact quite enjoyed being reffered to as a French Pom on recent trip to Australia!

He has involved in language training in one way or another since 1976 teaching French to adult and children of all ages, running teachers's seminars and managing a language service for the large companies in the City of London.

He was recently brought out of part-time retirement and full-time boredom to join Buckswood and rather likes being the "youngest recruit in the French department where he can indulge his passion for teaching his mother tongue.

His other passions are translating where he gained a good deal of success with the publication of the books of short stories - Still Lives (2009) and Nothing Still (2011) and gardening which he does as often as he can under the rather bemused gaze of 1 cantankerous old cat, 3 over-excited young dogs and 7 blase ducks!
